Lead Occupational Health & Safety Specialist required to join the Sandton Head Office of a national concern.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7).
OHS qualification i.e. SAMTRAC / similar.
5+ years experience as OHS / SHE Manager, responsible for system development and implementation.
Development and implementation of OHS/SHE training interventions.
OHS Risk Assessment and Implementation of mitigation.
Waste Management experience essential.
Duties include but are not limited to
Define Group OHS and Risk Waste systems which address divisional and legal requirements.
Institutionalise Group OHS and Risk Waste systems by developing and implementing SOPs and supporting documentation to guide divisions and facilities.
Provide ongoing assistance and advice to divisions and facilities.
Review legislative changes and adapt the OHS and Risk Waste system to address new requirements.
Implement an OHS IT System to automate OHS administrative functions.
Review national OHS and Risk Waste risks and implement mitigating actions.
