|Deputy National Technical Manager required at Sandton based head office of a national concern.
Engineering Degree or GCC
10+ years in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment with an exceptional knowledge of asset management.
Duties include but are not limited to
Determining and creating an asset and facility management strategy for the group.
Assuming full responsibility for the life cycle of assets, statutory compliance, optimization of infrastructure and good corporate governance.
Direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering projects and build the engineering structure to scale and grow with the strategy of the company.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating resource and financial management, milestone deliverables and administration in line with the profit plan and strategic initiatives.
Lead overall project management responsibility for all product line development projects, including coordination with all supporting functions and regional, including applications, quality and manufacturing, procurement, technology and stakeholder management.
Provide technical and application assistance for internal and external customers.
Accountable to ensure the planning of all maintenance activities to ensure reduction of equipment breakdowns.
Manage root cause analysis processes and ensure continuous improvement and technological upgrades.
Accountable for the creation, maintenance and updating of policies, procedures guidelines and specifications relating to the management of assets i.e. plant and machinery, equipment, land and building.
Maintaining the Asset Management System and align it to ISO 55000.
Roll out additional sites onto SAP PM.
Accountable to ensure user training for SAPPM super users and ISD SAP PM trainers.
Periodic visits to various sites, inspecting plant areas and general facilities as well as inspection of large Capex projects to ensure consistency and quality of installation.
